The Burton Re:Flex series is notably challenging to replicate due to the difficulty in producing a durable 3D-printed component capable of withstanding repeated clicking cycles. The small legs responsible for attaching to the top foam are prone to breaking, which is a common failure point in original parts. After identifying a material that provides the necessary flexibility for this click mechanism, and implementing subtle design modifications, I developed a functional replacement part. While long-term durability cannot be guaranteed without extensive testing, this material has demonstrated excellent performance, including reliable function at temperatures as low as -20°C.
